Elevator Pitch

I’m the CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Cannabis Trades Association, an international trade association working across medicinal cannabis, CBD and industrial hemp. I tend to look at strategy in four dimensions, not just at the immediate issue in front of us, but at how regulation, commercial reality, relationships and longer-term consequences interact. In a sector as complex and fast-moving as cannabis, decisions rarely sit neatly in one box. My role is to lead the association, support our members and make sure the CTA is involved in the conversations that shape the future of the sector. That means working with businesses, regulators, policymakers, trade bodies and industry organisations in the UK and internationally. A big part of what I do is building relationships, spotting where different interests overlap and creating opportunities for collaboration. Cannabis is a global industry, but every market develops differently, so understanding how one decision can affect another market, another part of the supply chain or a future regulatory position is incredibly important. I’m particularly interested in responsible industry development, strong standards and making sure businesses have a meaningful voice when policy and regulation are being developed. For me, leadership is about seeing the bigger picture, understanding the moving parts and making sure the association is thinking several steps ahead.
