Agreement
The World Class Business Leaders Institute (World Class Business Leaders) operates a global platform for knowledge and experience exchange among the global business community. The following Terms and Conditions regulate the contractual relationship between the participant of the conference (event) or of the platform (platform) and World Class Business Leaders. All participants of the conferences are automatically members of the World Class Business Leaders until they have deleted their profile. A membership is also possible independently of any event participations. In this case, members are also considered members until they have deleted their profile. Customers in Chile are served by the World Class Business Leaders Institute's subsidary in Chile. Customers in the SEPA area are served by World Class Business Leaders Institute's subsidary in Germany. Any diverging Terms and Conditions of the participant shall have no validity.
Eligibility
You must register with your individual name. Memberships in a company's name are not allowed.
You will only maintain one World Class Business Leaders account at any given time.
The purpose of World Class Business Leaders is to facilitate peer-to-peer know-how exchange between managers. Therefore, you have to be a manager with experience and knowledge in at least one specific area/field, and you have to be interested in exchange among peers.
We review and evaluate all registrations carefully before we accept to ensure the validity of membership profiles. This is necessary for our members to get the maximum benefit out of their meetings. World Class Business Leaders decides about memberships on its own discretion and can refuse the membership without giving any reason. World Class Business Leaders can edit profiles of the users at any time to enforce compliance with the terms and conditions. The access to conferences organized by World Class Business Leaders is only permitted when the registration has been accepted and confirmed by World Class Business Leaders and the corresponding attendance fee settled. World Class Business Leaders reserves the right to correct the ticket category bought by members with respect to the distinction between Conference Passes and Vendor Conference Passes. Price differences will be immediately charged or refunded to the client to ensure that the right price is paid and the participant's seat in the conference is not lost.
One-to-one meetings
We match business leaders around the world to facilitate peer-to-peer know-how exchange between managers. The service enables managers to contact other members. World Class Business Leaders neither is responsible for the making or keeping of appointments, nor for the success of your meeting/connection with a person. Every participant is solely responsible for interactions with other World Class Business Leaders members.
Conferences organized by World Class Business Leaders
Definition
Delegates are all participants who pay for their attendance, including delegate pass holders as well as sponsors.
Registration
The delegate is entitled to use World Class Business Leaders services after the acceptance of the delegate registration form has been confirmed by World Class Business Leaders.
Cancellation
If the delegate fails to show up at the event or cancels, the full delegate fee shall be retained. World Class Business Leaders will be pleased to accept an alternative participant at no extra charge at any time. In case of a cancellation prior to the event, the participation can also be deferred to any other World Class Business Leaders event. If an exhibitor postpones the event participation in the last two weeks before the event starts, a postponement fee of US$ 500 or its equivalent in other currency will be due because of operational costs for equipment incurred by the World Class Business Leaders Institute.
Liability
World Class Business Leaders reserves the right to replace speakers if circumstances require and to make any necessary changes to the programme, while preserving the overall character of the event. The delegates shall be notified without delay in the event of a cancellation due to force majeure, the indisposition of a speaker, problems arising at the venue or an insufficient number of delegates. Cancellation due to an insufficient number of delegates shall be announced no later than two weeks prior to the event. Under all aforementioned circumstances, the participation fee shall not be refunded. However, all affected participants will have the opportunity to defer their participation to another World Class Business Leaders event free of charge. No claims for reimbursement of travel expenses and accommodation costs, or for compensation due to lost working time, shall be accepted unless such costs are the result of grossly negligent or wilful behaviour on the part of World Class Business Leaders. Events organized by World Class Business Leaders involve personal interaction with other humans. World Class Business Leaders will not accept any claims due to lost working time or other problems caused by a transmission of an illness at an event unless such costs are the result of grossly negligent or wilful behavior on the part of World Class Business Leaders. Due to the highly dynamic nature of epidemics, World Class Business Leaders follows the governmental orders in place on the days of the events. Any claims based on other provided information have no validity.
Promotional Materials, Copyrights and Recordings
All our conference documents are protected by copyright. Participants are only granted simple, non-transferrable rights of usage for personal purposes. Participants and third parties are not permitted under any circumstances to alter or make editorial changes, either in whole or in part, to the conference documents, or to use amended versions thereof, to copy them for third parties, to make them available to or release them to the public, to post them on the internet or on any other network, whether for payment or not, to imitate them, sell them on or use them in any way for commercial purposes. Copyright notices, trademarks or other identifying marks must not be removed. By registering, the customer agrees to the photos as well as video and audio recordings of World Class Business Leaders at the event. World Class Business Leaders retains all the rights to the recordings. The distribution of promotional materials is not allowed World Class Business Leaders events unless explicitly agreed and authorized in writing by the World Class Business Leaders Institute.
Charges and Conditions of Payment
The delegate pays a fee as set forth in the World Class Business Leaders delegate registration form. The fee is to be paid in full latest 21 days after receiving the invoice or one week before the event whichever date comes earlier. Registrations in the last week before the event are due for payment immediately. Failed credit card payments will become due by bank transfer or another credit card immediately. If the delegate is in default of payment, World Class Business Leaders shall be entitled to demand late payment interest to the amount of 5% above the base lending rate. World Class Business Leaders reserves the right to exclude certain methods of payment on a case by case basis. Payments may not be made by sending in cash and World Class Business Leaders shall not be held liable for any losses arising therefrom. The fee must be paid before the event, latest at the event check in on the first day. If the fee has not been paid by then, the access to the event will not be granted.
Special Terms and Conditions for World Class Business Leaders Event Speakers
After the event, all presentations will be provided as download for all conference participants on the World Class Business Leaders platform. Documents will be made available in a read-only pdf version. If there are slides in the presentation that shouldn’t be published, the speaker shall send a special version for publication. Speakers who do not wish to give permission for audio and video recordings of their presentation, shall notify World Class Business Leaders latest one day before the event. Speakers are not allowed to infringe on any copyrights in their presentations. The World Class Business Leaders Institute will hold liable speakers for any damages incurred through claims due to presentations with copyright infringements. Speaking applications are invited from all types of companies. However, solution providers and consultants are only allowed to speak in conjunction with sponsorship packages. On the other hand, industry decision maker speakers are invited to attend the conferences with a VIP Conference Pass free of charge, but are expected to cover their costs for travel and accommodation themselves. In the exceptional cases that World Class Business Leaders covers any costs, these are only reimbursed up to the specific extent set forth in the speaker confirmation. Any additional costs are not accepted as reimbursable costs. If speakers fail to show up for the event, World Class Business Leaders reserves the right to ask for reimbursement for non-refundable costs incurred for accommodation and/or travel. Speakers are asked to book their flight and accommodation not earlier than 6 weeks before the conference because there might always be unforeseen circumstances that force World Class Business Leaders to adapt the timings of the event.
Think Tanks and other Content made available from third parties to World Class Business Leaders members
Only World Class Business Leaders members can open and operate a think tank on the World Class Business Leaders platform. If World Class Business Leaders revokes the membership of the think tank admin, the think tank's administrator rights fall to an assigned administrator from World Class Business Leaders. Any World Class Business Leaders member can claim these administrator rights. The reassignment of administrator rights based on the claim is at the discretion of World Class Business Leaders.
Administrator rights of think tanks can be revoked or transferred at any time.
By providing content to the World Class Business Leaders platform, a member remains content owner but grants to World Class Business Leaders a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use that content (including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display and perform it) in connection with the service and World Class Business Leaders's (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including to promote and redistribute part or all of the service.
The licenses granted by a member continue for a commercially reasonable period after a member removes or deletes the content from the service.
A member grants World Class Business Leaders the right to monetize a member's content on the service (and such monetization may include displaying ads on or within content or charging users a fee for access). This Agreement does not entitle the uploading member to any payments.
A member may remove their content from the service at any time. World Class Business Leaders can remove members' content and think tanks without prior notice.
Digital Products and Videos made available through the Marketplace operated by World Class Business Leaders
All products made available and sold by the World Class Business Leaders Corporation are protected by copyright. Buyers and users of digital products are only granted simple, non-transferrable rights of usage for personal purposes. Buyers and users of digital products are not permitted under any circumstances to alter or make editorial changes, either in whole or in part, to the products, or to use amended versions thereof, to copy them for third parties, to make them available to or release them to the public, to post them on the internet or on any other network, whether for payment or not, to imitate them, sell them on or use them in any way for commercial purposes. Copyright notices, trademarks or other identifying marks must not be removed. World Class Business Leaders Unlimited subscriptions give access to certain videos to the subscribing individual. Sharing within the company or beyond is specifically prohibited. Exceptions from this rule must be in written form to be valid.
Declaration of secrecy
All conversations between members – on- and offline – have to be treated confidential unless clearly otherwise stated. No information should be given to third parties. This ensures an open exchange of information, ideas and solutions.
Purpose of meetings
The purpose of World Class Business Leaders is the arrangement of meetings for benchmarking, sparring and experience exchange.
Value-added tax
Payment or payment rates as specified on our web site shall be net. Value-added tax is added where World Class Business Leaders is required to do so by law.
Termination of membership
You can terminate your World Class Business Leaders membership at any time for any reason. If you want to do so, please log in to your account and delete your account. Terminating your World Class Business Leaders membership does not cancel the attendance of any events you have booked.
We may immediately terminate your membership and your access to the service at any time because you have breached this agreement and will send you notice of termination to the email address you provided.
We may deactivate the accounts of members who have not used the service for a period of six months or more (as calculated by the date of last connection to the service).
Use of the web site and service
The information that you supply to World Class Business Leaders and post on the web site must be accurate and conform to reality. You are solely responsible for the content that you publish, submit, post or display on the service, or transmit to other members via the service. World Class Business Leaders may review and delete any content, messages, photos or profiles that in the reasonable judgment of World Class Business Leaders violate this agreement or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of members.
You warrant that you will not provide inaccurate, misleading or false information to World Class Business Leaders or to any other user. If information provided to World Class Business Leaders or another user subsequently becomes inaccurate, misleading or false, you will promptly notify World Class Business Leaders of such change.
You are not allowed to include any type of commercial or any other advertisements in your profile. Members violating this can have their account deleted immediately.
Illegal and/or unauthorized uses of the web site, including collecting names and/or email addresses of members by electronic or other means for sending unsolicited email and unauthorised framing of or linking to the web site will be investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken.
Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password that you designate during the registration process with the service, and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your username and password. You agree to notify World Class Business Leaders of any unauthorized use of your username or password or any other breach of security. World Class Business Leaders will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.
Proprietary rights in content
World Class Business Leaders owns and retains all proprietary rights in the web site and the service. The web site contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other intellectual property and proprietary information of World Class Business Leaders. Except for that information which is in the public domain or for which you have been given written permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, reproduce, license, create derivative works from, transfer display, or sell or re-sell any such intellectual property or proprietary information.
Liability for content
We make every effort to keep the information on our web site current, but accept no liability whatsoever for the content provided. The law limits our responsibility as a service provider to our own content on these web pages. We are not obligated to monitor third party information provided or stored on our web site. However, we shall promptly remove any content upon becoming aware that it violates the law. Our liability in such an instance shall commence at the time we become aware of the respective violation.
No warranties
This web site is provided "as is" without any representations or warranties, express or implied. World Class Business Leaders makes no representations or warranties in relation to this web site or the information and materials provided on this web site.
Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing paragraph, World Class Business Leaders does not warrant that:
this web site will be constantly available, or available at all; or
the information on this web site is complete, true, accurate or non-misleading.
Data protection and privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your data confidential. Data is collected in accordance with our privacy policy which is available on our web site. The information provided by members will be held in our database.
In accordance with our privacy policy, we may use your email address to communicate with you through email. We may send you emails that help inform new members about the features of the services. We will also send you service messages relating to the functioning of the services, and we will send you messages to inform you about your fresh matches and event attendance opportunities. If you participate in events, your contact data may be shared with other participants to facilitate the communications before, during and after the event. Participants are allowed to share that contact data within the corporate group they are affiliated with.
Final provisions
Customers in the SEPA area consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Amtsgericht Pasewalk, Germany, for all disputes arising from or in connection with contracts related to our offerings. However, the World Class Business Leaders Institute or any of its subsidiaries may, at its discretion, go to courts having jurisdiction over the place of business of the other party. Chilean customers consent to exclusive jurisdiction of Chile. Customers from other countries consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States of America.
